Dollar Tree is a great place to shop for little luxuries this holiday season at an affordable price. But just because it’s affordable doesn’t mean it’s worth the money.

Here are six little luxuries you should skip this holiday season at Dollar Tree.

Christmas House Knee-High Socks

  • Price: $1.25

Dollar Tree always has fun and festive holiday socks, but these Christmas House knee-high socks don’t have the best reviews. On Dollar Tree’s website, reviewers gave them a 1.8-star rating out of five stars and commented that they were not as advertised online.

“I really wished they would stop making the tall socks of any patterns and just stick to the ankle socks,” one shopper wrote. “They are so tight at the top or keep falling down.”

Holiday Solar Stakes

  • Price: $1.25

Dollar Tree sells Christmas bulbs and Christmas icons solar stakes, and neither has stellar reviews. Under both products, shoppers pointed out that they looked great, but not all the stakes lit up. You might be better off paying a bit more at other stores for a similar product.

String Lights

  • Price: $1.25

Christmas lights are a hit or a miss at Dollar Tree. Customers weren’t thrilled about the quality on Dollar Tree’s website. For example, these Christmas House LED novelty string lights have a 3.1 rating out of five stars, and some shoppers stated that the lights weren’t bright enough or didn’t work right out of the box.

These indoor clear Christmas lights have a slightly better rating, but shoppers claimed they broke immediately and the bulbs got hot.

Glitter Snowflakes Printed Glass Coolers

  • Price: $1.25

On Dollar Tree’s website, these glass coolers with glitter snowflakes on the side look magical. However, shoppers claimed they’re not as glittery as the pictures show. The snowflakes are a glitter transfer stamped on the outside of the glass. They’re also not dishwasher safe, so they may work better as Christmas decor or for crafts rather than drinkware.

Christmas House Red and Green Plaid Oven Mitt and Pot Holder

  • Price: $1.25

It’s fun to break out the holiday towels and oven mitts, but they should also be resistant enough to heat that you won’t feel much through them. That’s the biggest complaint these Christmas House oven mitts and pot holders received online. One reviewer stated that the mitts are very thin, and the heat came through, causing them to burn their thumb.

Long Christmas House Tinsel Garland

  • Price: $1.25

Dollar Tree sells a variety of long tinsel garlands, but it probably won’t last for more than one season. According to one shopper, the garlands came apart while they were trying to string them up and had to be thrown away. Another commented that they were dissatisfied with the quality, as it was too thin for their tree.
