Of course, you won’t buy any gas as a Tesla driver. This probably sounds appealing, but you do still have to pay to charge an electric vehicle. Charging costs for a Tesla vary greatly according to a variety of factors, such as the average number of miles driven per month, the specific Tesla model driven and electricity costs in your local area.
For example, assuming you’re driving 40 miles per day, it costs around $54.48 per month to charge both a Model S and a Model Y, according to the Tesla charging calculator. A Model 3 costs approximately $49.92 per month to charge, while a Model X costs roughly $64.83 per month to charge.
Monthly Gas Costs for a Toyota Yaris
The amount you’ll pay in monthly gas costs for a Toyota Yaris varies according to a number of factors, such as the specific model, number of miles driven, driving habits — i.e., city versus highway and local gas costs.
Discontinued in 2020, according to Toyota, the Toyota Yaris is a compact car that gets an estimated 36 miles per gallon with combined city and highway driving, according to Edmunds data. Specifically, it gets 32 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway.
