The U.S. luxury housing market varies dramatically by region, according to a new Realtor.com analysis. While established coastal metros tend to offer smaller, older luxury homes at higher prices, fast-growing Sun Belt and Midwest markets are delivering newer, larger properties — often for under $1 million.
Even with a seven-figure budget cap, buyers can still find modern luxury homes in these emerging markets. Here are six metro areas where the top 10% of listings skew newer than the national average, ranked by the median year homes were built.
