Cynthia Paez Bowman is a personal finance writer with degrees from American University in international business and journalism. Besides writing about personal finance, she writes about real estate, interior design and architecture. Her work has been featured in MSN, Brex, Freshome, MyMove, Emirates’ Open Skies magazine and more.
Cynthia is based between Las Vegas and Europe. Originally an entrepreneur, she founded the home furnishings retail brand, Fusion Home. Her goal to reach financial independence early was possible thanks to the success of her retail business and investments in real estate.
She sold Fusion Home in 2013 and set out to retire early and travel the world with her daughters. Her story was featured in Time magazine, which led to a press tour of national radio shows to retell her unique story. She started writing about her journey to financial freedom and continues to write about financial literacy today.
In her spare time, Cynthia travels throughout Africa and the Middle East, helping women entrepreneurs develop and grow their businesses while exploring the world as a JoyJournist with her daughters.
