Having a side gig has become the norm for American workers. According to a recent FlexJobs survey, 78% of U.S.-based professionals currently have a side hustle or would consider taking one on to increase their income.
If you fall into the latter category, you’ll have better luck finding a side gig if you choose one that’s currently in high demand. To determine the hottest part-time, seasonal and occasional work-from-home jobs for 2025, FlexJobs analyzed its database between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2024, and identified the part-time remote jobs that had the most openings over the past year. All of these categories are actively hiring.
