The Highest and Lowest Paid NBA All-Stars This Season

Basketball’s biggest stars will take the court Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City for the 72nd NBA All-Star Game, and you can expect a high-scoring affair. Of the top 20 scorers in the NBA this season, 18 of them are on the All-Star rosters.
Veterans LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will captain the teams, but in an unusual twist this year, they will pick their players right before game time. The only thing known now is which players will be on the court to start the game, but although James is representing the Western Conference All-Stars and Antetokounmpo the Eastern group, the captains will reach across conferences in the draft.
Selected to start from the Western Conference were Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Lauri Markkanen, Ja Morant and James. From the Eastern Conference, Antetokounmpo is joined by Joel Embiid, Kyrie Irving, Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum.
A few notes on the teams. Stephen Curry and Zion Williamson were elected to represent the West and Kevin Durant the East but won’t play due to injury. Morant, Markkanen and Embiid were bumped up from the group of reserves to start. Also, while Irving and Durant were traded to Western Conference teams last week, they remain part of the Eastern Conference representation.
Additionally, the NBA named Anthony Edwards, De’Aaron Fox and Pascal Siakam as injury replacements.
The teams are a mix of veterans and young stars, but they have one thing in common: multimillion-dollar contracts. GOBankingRates divided the squad into two — lowest-paid and highest-paid All-Stars — and the numbers on both lists are eye popping. Read on to see how much your favorite NBA players earn.

- 2022-23 Salary: $33,047,804

The back-to-back reigning league MVP, Jokic leads the NBA this season in triple-doubles, so it’s no surprise he leads the Nuggets in points, rebounds and assists. A two-time first-team All-NBA selection, he is a five-time All-Star. Jokic is in the final season of a five-year, $147.7 million contract, and the Nuggets didn’t let him hit free agency.
