Amidst tariffs that threaten to increase prices on everything from Disney-branded toys to the construction of the new Disney Cruise ships, the entertainment behemoth has announced several deals to take the sting out of summer travel.

Here are some details on the deals Disney is offering that’ll help you save money, as well as six other tips from travel agents on how to save even more.

Disney Deals To Save Money

“Disney is really trying to attract families with younger kids and that’s what these offers are targeted for,” said Steven Griswold of Pixie Vacations. He said he hasn’t seen 50% off tickets for kids in over 15 years of helping people plan and book Disney vacations.

Here are four Disney deals available — including that 50% off kids’ tickets.

  • New in 2025, Disney World Resort in Florida is offering 50% off 3-park, 3-day tickets (or longer) for kids ages 3 to 9, and 3-day, 3-park tickets for adults starting at $89 per day.
  • Between Aug. 1 and Oct. 11, 2025, guests can save 30% on stays of five night or longer at select Disney Resort hotels.
  • Disney brought back its free dining plan with the purchase of a non-discounted, 4-night, 4-day or longer Park Hopper package at a select Disney Resort from June 29 through Dec. 22, 2025.
  • In 2026, Disney World will offer a free dining plan for kids ages 3 to 9 when you book a room at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and a dining plan for each guest age 10 and up.

Even with these deals, the cost of a Disney vacation can still add up. Griswold, along with Beverlyn Fleming of Best Ever Vacations with BEV, shared their best tips to save even more.

Plan Your Trip as Far in Advance as You Can

Booking early pays off in multiple ways, travel experts agree.

“The big vacation savings starts with planning your vacation in advance,” Griswold said. “Booking early lets you get the Disney resort and room category you want.”

Plus, if a better deal comes along and you’ve booked with a travel agent specializing in Disney vacations, they can help you re-book.

He advised thinking about the type of vacation you want, so you can choose the best resort for your needs and budget. “Are you just going to go to the parks each day? If so then a Disney Value Resort might be a good fit,” he explained.

On the other hand, guests with younger kids might want the convenience of a resort with Monorail or Skyliner access, so they can hop back to the hotel for a mid-day break, nap or pool time.

Earn Points With the Disney Visa Rewards Card

As you start planning at least one year in advance, consider opening a Disney Visa card to earn points you can use on your vacation.

“Extra room discounts, free photos and other perks are available for Disney cardholders,” Fleming said. “Every dollar spent earns rewards that can be used for Disney.”

The mom of three said she’s paid for vacations using only the points from her Disney Visa.

“Just make sure you can pay off what you spend every month, or you’ll end up losing money [on interest charges],” she said.

Map Out Your Meals Ahead of Time

Pre-planning is key, and this goes for meals, too.

“Plan out your dining locations and the meal credits you’ll use,” Griswold said. “You want to make sure you use all your dining credits.”

If you have leftover snack credits on your last day, “load up with snack items you can take home,” he added.

The best value for snack credits are items priced $5 or more at events like the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, where you can taste unique treats that may not always be available.

Book Concierge Level at the Resort If You Don’t Have Free Dining

“If you can score free dining, it’s the best discount Disney will give you,” Fleming said.

But if you don’t meet the requirements or it’s not available on your vacation dates, opt for a room discount and upgrade to “concierge level.”

“You get free breakfast, afternoon snacks and unlimited drinks and snacks that you can take to the park with you,” Fleming said.

Arrive at ‘Rope Drop’

Staying on-site at a Disney Resort offers guests other perks, too. Fleming advocates for taking advantage of early entry.

“It’s exhilarating being first in line when you can. It really is worth it,” she said. “We’ve gone on rides twice before others have even entered the park.”

Arrive Early on Your First Day

There are other advantages to being an early bird. In 2025, Disney offers Resort hotel guests free water park admission on check-in day.

“Book your arrival flight so you get to Disney World early. Pack a carry-on with swimsuit and sunscreen. After dropping your luggage at your Disney resort, jump on the complimentary bus transportation to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach,” Griswold said. “You have a full day of fun for free.”
