It’s time to make the list of gifts you want to get for your friends and family, as well as yourself, before heading off to Walmart. You might love Walmart for its massive selection of holiday items and everyday low prices, perfect for any budget. What you might not love is the quality of some of these products, feeling like you paid for a lump of coal.

Stressed out about how to get the best gifts and avoid duds the next time you head to your local Walmart? Don’t worry. Here are three of the worst holiday gifts to purchase from Walmart this season.

MyMini Sandwich Maker

  • Price: $8.98

Melanie Musson, a retail finance expert with InsuranceProviders.com, cautioned that the MyMini sandwich maker at Walmart may seem like a great product if you love grilled leftover turkey sandwiches.

“But have you considered the space an appliance that serves one purpose will take up?” Musson said. “You’re better off buying a small cast iron skillet that nests inside a skillet you already have, so it takes up very little space and can be used for several different things.”

No Boundaries Puffer Jacket

  • Price: $16.98

It’s starting to get cold and will be a lot colder by the time the holidays roll around. So it makes sense you’d want to pick up a winter coat from Walmart. Just make sure to steer clear of the No Boundaries puffer jacket, in Musson’s opinion.

“If you want to complete a look with this jacket, you’ll probably be OK buying it,” Musson said. “But if you were hoping for warmth and protection from the weather, you’ll probably be left feeling cold.”

Musson added that if you are in the market for a jacket for warmth, consider a Wantdo jacket instead, also available at Walmart.

Eufy Robotic Vacuum

  • Price: $549.99 (originally $799.99)

“The price alone should make you stop in your tracks and reconsider your choice of robotic vacuums,” Musson said, who noted that Shark makes a variety of robotic vacuums that are dependable and cost between $250 and $400. Still on the pricey side, but not as much as this robotic vacuum.

“A robotic vacuum cleaner can make holiday party prep and cleanup easier, but it’s probably not worth spending almost $800 for it,” Musson explained.

Editor’s note: Pricing and availability may vary depending on location.
