The American middle class, as per Pew Research (via Smart Asset), are those who earn approximately $49,478 to $71,359 annually. Given the economic uncertainty of 2025 — from inflation to tariffs increasing the prices of everything from groceries to new cars — it pays for the middle class to be budget-conscious and know how to spread a dollar. That’s especially true for high-price items, like new cars.
Recently, iSeeCars compiled the 20 cheapest cars to drive in 2025, based upon price as well as average annual miles. For those in the market for a new set of wheels, these rides are both rather affordable and have high annual driving rates, making them big saves in the long run.
