The true cost of your car goes beyond the sticker price. One factor to take into consideration when determining what car you can afford is how much you will actually drive it, which will determine how much you end up paying per mile.

A new iSeeCars analysis found that some cars tend to be driven much more frequently than others, which drives down its actual cost. For example, the study found that the Chrysler Pacifica averages 20,882 miles of annual use, which makes it cost only $2,280 per 1,000 miles. One the other hand, drivers tend to drive the Mazda MX-5 Miata an average of just 5,073 miles a year, which puts its cost to drive at $6,540 for every 1,000 miles driven.

To determine the cheapest cars to drive, iSeeCars analyzed the odometer readings and new car prices for over 1 million three-year-old used cars sold from November 2024 to April 2025. Based on this analysis, these are the 10 cheapest cars to drive.
