Every couple has a dynamic that is unique to them, especially couples whose partnership extends to being coworkers as well. If you are feeling that you could never be a colleague in business with your partner, consider that there are options for side gigs and hustles that you can do together to build up your bank account and potentially your relationship as well.

explained that side gigs aren’t just about making money: “[T]hey’re about rebranding couples as a team, meeting new people (potential clients), expanding your network for people that can use what you have to offer and monetizing recognition that can compound into future opportunities.”

Here are three proven side gigs for couples, according to Williams-Lindo.

Catering and Creative Services

This is what Williams-Lindo labeled as the “anti-starving artist side hustle.”

“Couples can pull in $1,000 to $3,000 per event depending on size and scale, with repeat clients fueling word-of-mouth,” Williams-Lindo said about being able to cater or offer fun activities during parties, conventions, and other group gatherings.

Insurance Claim Services

Williams-Lindo deemed this the “anti-mayhem side hustle” because it is overlooked, but highly in demand, and you can do it with the one you love.

“One partner manages the technical [and] administrative side, writing up claims, handling documentation, and coordinating — while the other is on the ground taking photos or doing inspections,” said Williams-Lindo. “It’s a functional versus technical split that pays: $100 to $300 per claim, adding up quickly if you treat it like a workflow.”

Consulting and Coaching Duos

Otherwise known as the “anti-solo expert side hustle” in Williams-Lindo’s experience.

“Couples with complementary skill sets can create a strong pipeline of business: one delivers technical services or hands-on expertise, while the other manages client communication, documentation, or strategy,” Williams-Lindo said, adding that on average, couples in this space can make anywhere from $2,500 to $7,500 per month.

The Secret To Success

In Williams-Lindo’s expert opinion, each of these side hustles flips a common struggle on its head: starving artists turn into revenue makers, chaos becomes a workflow, and solo experts transform into business duos.

“The formula is simple but powerful: divide the work by strengths, stay in your lane of genius, and build credibility as a team,” said Williams-Lindo. “The money is undeniably nice, but the real win is visibility, brand recognition, and future opportunity that grows well beyond a single gig.”
