If you’re in the market for a classic car this winter, some familiar names may be more affordable.

According to auto industry experts who talked to GOBankingRates, lower demand for certain classic models may lead to big price drops. Here’s a look at six such cars that may see large price drops as we head into winter.

Ford Mustang

“There has been a slump in the classic car market as people deal with the long-lasting effects of inflation and wages that haven’t kept pace,” said Melanie Musson, an auto industry expert with AutoInsurance.org. “With economic uncertainty at the back of their minds, fewer people in the middle and upper middle classes are able to afford spending money on collectible cars.”

According to Musson, since there are many classic Mustangs on the market, people realize there’s no rush to purchase one — they can wait until they’re in a better financial position.

Peugeot 205 GTI

The 205 GTI is not that old, not that rare and not that powerful, per Musson. She said it became a hot item for a while, but now that the craze is waning, prices are dropping and will decrease dramatically through the end of the year. Musson said it’s a market correction.

Ferrari 308 and 328

According to Lauren Fix from Car Coach Reports, several classic cars are poised for notable price drops. Fix said models like the Ferrari 308 and 328 are among those expected to see the drops. Some classic cars are seeing reduced demand due to things such as high maintenance costs, market saturation and shifting collector interests, according to Fix.

Aston Martin DB4 and DB6

Here are some more classic cars that Fix expects to see big price drops. Again, she pointed to reduced demand due to things such as high maintenance costs, market saturation and shifting collector interests.
