When searching for a used vehicle, you might feel tempted to opt for a rare or unique ride to set yourself apart on the road. That said, vehicle reliability — especially with used cars and trucks — is crucial, and knowing which vehicles thrive in the marketplace (and with shoppers) is an easy way to determine the cars and trucks that shoppers continue to return to, time and time again.

That’s why iSeeCars amassed a study to find the most popular used vehicles in 2025. What they found is the Ford F-150 continues its multi-decade reign as America’s best-selling used vehicle, the Chevrolet Equinox is the best-selling used car, and the Chevrolet Malibu is surging in popularity (most likely because it was discontinued in 2025, and many were discharged from rental fleets as a result).

From the iSeeCars study, GOBankingRates compiled the most popular cars in the top 50 metro areas in America — the used rides that sell the most models in America’s biggest and busiest cities.
