In a recent real estate forecast, Realtor.com broke down the 100 best housing and real estate markets in America for 2025. The forecast takes in a myriad of factors (especially falling mortgage rates) into its calculus; and, while it notes that home sales will increase only slightly overall, it also notes there are hot spots throughout the country that will see massive upswings in home sales and real estate availability.

In Realtor.com’s forecast, all of the top 10 real estate markets in 2025 are located in the South and West, including Virginia, Florida and Texas all having two cities apiece in that top 10. For Texas, those cities are El Paso (ranked No. 4 in best real estate markets overall) and McAllen (No. 7). Looking for the best places to buy a house in the Lone Star State in 2025? Keep reading.
