This job is pretty simple: pick up window screens and screen doors from the customer, rescreen them and then deliver back to their house, according to Reddit user n0hyd.
The user said they charge $50 for a window and $90 for patio door and make about $1,000 a month seasonally.
When asked about the cost versus time breakdown on the thread, n0hyd responded that they tend to buy rolls in bulk online, which is more cost effective than in-store pricing. For a screen door they said it takes about 10 minutes. But pickup and delivery does add time. They said eventually it would be easier to use a trailer and rescreen onsite.
Data Recovery
If you are good with computers, chances are you can put those skills to you for some extra income by helping to recover data and other digital assets online.
Reddit user billhartzer helps recover stolen domain names. They said they have recovered over 500 domain names in the past year, which can go for $250 to $500 per recovery.
Event Staffing
At large scale events, there is always the additional need for security to ensure everyone is safe. You can also have the opportunity to enjoy the show, all while getting paid, wrote Reddit user ArrowPicks in 2024.
The user said they just apply to be security at any event they would love to attend. They said it pays fairly well and you basically get paid to watch events. Another option, if you do not want to work in security, is to become an usher.
Shipping Container Sales
You don’t need to be a longshoreman or live at the docks, but according to Reddit user January212018, you can make some serious money selling shipping containers remotely for companies.
The user said they use Facebook Marketplace and made $1,200 in a month. January212018 added that no one in the real world would ever guess they are a shipping container salesperson.
