Slovenia: European Charm Without the Price Tag
Slovenia offers postcard landscapes, European healthcare and high safety rankings at a lower cost of living than Western Europe.
According to ChatGPT, a retiree can live modestly on about $2,000 a month, enjoy a high standard of public services, and easily travel throughout Europe.

Thailand remains a favorite for adventurous retirees. According to AI, in Chiang Mai, you can rent a furnished apartment for under $600 a month, while healthcare in Bangkok is world-class and budget-friendly.
Long-stay and retirement visas are well established, and a couple can live comfortably on $1,500 to $2,000 per month.
Costa Rica: Peaceful Living Close to Home
Costa Rica combines safety, biodiversity and strong healthcare. Through its pensionado visa, retirees with at least $1,000 per month in guaranteed income can live legally in the country.
