If you’re a car owner, odds are you’ve probably needed to buy car parts here and there. Whether it was just a simple replacement part or a nice accessory, the Advance Auto Parts store in your neighborhood might have been your go-to.

However, that may soon change. Earlier this year, the auto parts giant announced the closure of hundreds of stores nationwide. Here are more details on the store closures, as well as three alternatives to shop if your local store closed.

Advance Auto Parts Is Slated To Close 700 Stores

In its February 2025 earnings release, Advance Auto Parts confirmed that it was moving forward with its plan to close approximately 500 stores, 200 independently owned stores and four distribution centers by mid-2025. It was all part of a companywide restructuring plan that was originally announced in November 2024.

As TheStreet reported, the company has now finished its store closure phase. You can use the Advance Auto Parts store locator to find out if your closest store is still open. If in fact your local Advance Auto Parts store was affected by the closures, the good news is that you have other options.

Here are three cost-effective alternatives to shop for all sorts of auto parts and accessories online.
