Princess Victoria of Sweden and Daniel Westling Wedding

Sweden's Princess Victoria married gym owner Daniel Westling in June 2010. Over 1,200 guests attended the wedding at the Stockholm Cathedral.
After the ceremony, the couple rode through the Swedish capital in a horse-drawn carriage and took the royal barge to a lavish banquet at the Royal Palace. Princess Victoria wore an off-the-shoulder gown by Swedish designer Pär Engsheden and the same crown that her mother had worn on her wedding day, Vogue reported.

Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah of Brunei and Sarah Salleh Wedding

The heir to the sultan of Brunei, Prince Al-Muhtadee, paraded his love for Sarah Salleh through Brunei's capital after their wedding ceremony with a ride in a gold Rolls-Royce stretch limo.
The September 2004 procession included 103 additional limos plus a marching band. A lavish banquet was held the next day for thousands of guests.
Prince Pavlos of Greece and Marie-Chantal Miller Wedding

Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and Marie-Chantal Miller's wedding took place in London in July 1995. The bride wore a custom Valentino Garavani gown encrusted with pearls that cost a reported $225,000.
The wedding took place at St. Sophia's Cathedral and was followed by a reception at the Hampton Court Palace. The pre-wedding events were as over-the-top as the day itself, including a champagne reception for 1,200 guests at Wrotham Park in Sevenoaks that featured 100,000 flowers flown in from Ecuador to decorate the venue.
Prince Rainier of Monaco and Grace Kelly Wedding

The marriage of Hollywood royalty Grace Kelly to actual royalty Prince Rainier of Monaco was the most glamorous wedding of its era. The April 1956 wedding included a 600-person guest list, thousands of white lilacs and lilies of the valley, and a six-tiered wedding cake that pictured Monaco's pink palace and scenes from Monaco's history made of sugar.
Kelly wore a gown designed by costume designer Helen Rose that featured 300 yards of antique Belgian lace and 150 yards of silk, taffeta and tulle. It took 30 studio seamstresses to create it. No expense was spared for the food either, with caviar, lobster and champagne on the menu.

King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Salma Bennani Wedding

One of the most powerful leaders in the world, King Mohammed VI of Morocco broke tradition with his public wedding celebrations in July 2002.
Previously, the marriages of kings of Morocco were kept secretive. King Mohammed VI officially married Salma Bennani in March 2002. But the wedding was celebrated with a multiday event that July that included a procession from the city gate to the royal palace, fireworks, musical performances and displays by Arabian horsemen.
Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah and Pengiran Haji Muhammad Ruzaini Wedding

The daughter of the sultan of Brunei, Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, married civil servant Pengiran Haji Muhammad Ruzaini in September 2012 in a wedding estimated to have cost $1,000 per guest.
The ceremony took place at the sultan's 1,700-room palace and had a 3,000-person guest list. The bride wore a beige and silver gown beaded with crystals, and the ceremony space was adorned with crystal flowers.
Prince Felipe of Asturias, Spain, and Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano Wedding

Crown Prince Felipe married former journalist Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano in May 2004. More than 1,500 guests came to the ceremony, and guests at the reception were treated to a feast that included a nearly 7-foot-high cake and over 1,000 bottles of champagne.
Ortiz's gown was created by veteran Spanish designer Manuel Pertegaz. The dress was made with real gold accents and featured a 14-foot-long train.

Members of the British royal family have been known to splurge on nice luxuries. But the biggest expense of Prince William and Kate Middleton's April 2011 wedding was security, which cost $32 million, as reported in Radar Online.
Other costs included $11,000 for the bride's wedding band; $600,000 for the luncheon and dinner receptions; $434,000 for Kate Middleton's wedding dress, which was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen; $80,000 for the wedding cake, a traditional fruitcake featuring over 900 leaf and floral designs; $800,000 for flowers; and $64,000 for cleaning fees.

Former Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock exchanged vows with Prince Albert II of Monaco during a public ceremony in July 2011, which followed a smaller civil ceremony.

The bride and groom's Cartier wedding bands were 18-karat white gold and platinum. About 450 guests attended the reception, which featured a multicourse dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse and a fireworks show.
