Easter falls on April 20th this year, which means there’s plenty of time to stock up on groceries at Costco. If you’re a retiree living on a fixed income, you’ll probably want to look for those sales while you’re shopping.
Right now, Costco has some great deals on seasonal buys — but these items are sure to sell out fast. The next time you go shopping, keep an eye out for these six budget-friendly grocery items.
You might want to pick up a few ahead of Easter.
Kirkland Signature Eggs (Five Dozen Large)
Everyone loves a good Easter egg hunt. At Costco, you can get five dozen large eggs (Kirkland Signature brand) to hard boil and decorate for the kids. Or if your grandkids enjoy decorating, too, you can make it a family activity — and a prime bonding moment.
You can buy these eggs throughout the year. Currently, these eggs cost $14.29 on Instacart, but you never know when they’ll go on sale.
Rastelli’s Spiral Ham Meal
Even if you’ve got a lot of time on your hands, you shouldn’t be expected to spend all day cooking this Easter. Make life a little bit easier with this spiral ham meal from Costco. This meal can serve up to eight people and costs $169.99. That’s about $22 per person.
This meal includes a 5-pound boneless, fully cooked carver ham with glaze. It also comes with sausage and cranberry stuffing (2 pounds), creamed spinach (2 pounds), scalloped potatoes au Gratin (2 pounds) and mac and cheese (2 pounds).
While not currently on sale, Costco’s been known to have deals on similar items in the past. As Easter approaches, keep an eye out for those manufacturer’s savings. And be sure to act fast as supplies don’t often last.
