    You need to be careful on the so called Guard Dog one; You could loose your home owners or a significant increase. If it is something unknown and you now try to deduct.

    It should be noted that many of these exemptions (like #2 or #3) may only apply to places of business or if the pet specifically relates to your business costs. Like, grumpy cat’s owners can probably write off her food because she is making them millions and the expense of food would count against the taxation of that income. But the average pet owner probably can’t claim that their pet expenses are directly tied to income.
