Uber, the revolutionary transportation and delivery platform that’s been around for almost 15 years, has extended its range of services from the simple ride-sharing model it began with. It now includes Uber Eats, which allows you to have food or groceries delivered with ease and convenience, as well as its subscription programs, Uber One and Uber Pass, which provide all kinds of great benefits for frequent Uber users.

If you’ve signed up for Uber One or Uber Pass but find you’re not using it as much as you thought you would, you might be wondering how you can cancel your subscription and go back to the basic version. Keep reading for a look at canceling Uber One and Uber Pass.

What Is Uber One?

Uber One is a membership program that enhances the Uber and Uber Eats experience. With a subscription fee of either $9.99 per month or $99.99 annually, members can enjoy several benefits, including free delivery for restaurant orders above $15 and grocery orders exceeding $30.

The subscription comes with priority upgrades and enhanced customer service as well.

Can You Cancel Uber One at Any Time?

Your Uber One membership can be canceled at any time.

Uber strives to make its services as convenient as possible for its customers. In the spirit of that goal, Uber gives customers the flexibility to stop their Uber One service whenever they decide it’s no longer meeting their needs.

Is It Easy To Cancel Uber One?

Remember the process you used to sign up for Uber One? Canceling Uber One is a very similar process, just in reverse. For the convenience of its users, Uber has designed a simple and straightforward cancellation process for Uber One.

If you wish to cancel your Uber One subscription, simply access your account settings on the Uber App or log in and access your profile on the Uber website. If you hit any roadblocks, Uber’s customer support is standing by with any assistance you might need.

Can I Cancel Uber One and Get a Refund?

This is one roadblock you can’t get past, unfortunately. Just as Uber can’t reimburse customers for belongings they may have left in their Uber ride, Uber One’s policy doesn’t provide refunds for partially used or unused membership periods. While that’s a bit of a downside, you continue to enjoy the membership benefits until the end of your current billing cycle.

Why Won’t It Let Me Cancel Uber One?

Occasionally, you may face a technical glitch or encounter some other issue when trying to cancel your Uber One membership. These issues are typically temporary and can be easily resolved by contacting Uber’s customer care service. Remember, you have the right to cancel your subscription at any time.

Canceling Within 48 Hours of Your Billing Date

Once you subscribe to an Uber One membership, it will automatically renew each month or year, depending on whether you choose a monthly or annual membership. Your preferred method of payment, usually a credit card on file, will be used for these transactions.

If you’re more than 48 hours away from your billing date, you’re good! You can cancel your membership directly from the Uber One section in the app by navigating to “Manage Membership,” then selecting “End Membership” and confirming your decision to cancel.

However, if you’re less than 48 hours away from your billing date, you might need a little more help. Because Uber One memberships are automatically billed, they can take a day or two to change. But this isn’t a problem–to cancel, just get in touch with Uber’s Support team via their website or from within the app. They’ll take care of it before you’re billed.

What Is the Uber Pass?

Uber Pass is another subscription service offered by Uber. This service was Uber’s initial foray into the subscription model, which later paved the way for Uber One. While it may still be available in some areas (such as the Dominican Republic and Brazil), it’s been replaced elsewhere by Uber One.

Uber Pass also offers benefits like fixed discounts on rides and free delivery on orders over a certain amount from Uber Eats. Some subscribers may also receive discounted rates on Uber Connect and Uber Pet rides. Depending on your region and the specific benefits provided under the pass, the fees may differ quite a bit.

How Do You Cancel Uber Pass?

If you’re one of the folks still using Uber Pass, you can cancel it in much the same way as you can cancel Uber One. To cancel your Uber Pass, log in to your profile via the Uber app or on the Uber website. Select the “Uber Pass” option from your account settings, then choose “End Membership.”

Billing details and any additional charges can vary depending on your location, so you might want to contact Uber support just to be sure you avoid unexpected fees.

Is it Worth Getting Uber One or Uber Pass?

Deciding whether platform is worth it for you ultimately depends on how frequently you use Uber’s services and the availability of each program where you live. If you’re someone who relies on Uber for rides on a regular basis or often orders food or grocery delivery from Uber Eats, the savings you gain from the subscription benefits can quickly offset the cost of the monthly fee.

However, if you are an infrequent user, the monthly fee may not prove to be cost-effective.

Your Ride’s Here!

Just like with the introduction of Uber One, Uber has continuously evolved to cater to the varied needs of its clientele. Uber’s paid membership programs are designed to provide value-added services and perks to frequent users.

Both Uber Pass and Uber One have convenient cancellation policies, but remember, refunds are generally not provided for partially used or unused memberships. Always make sure to read and understand the terms and conditions before proceeding with any subscription service.
