This April, Aldi shoppers are on the hunt for spring-friendly buys that stretch their dollars without straining budgets. This month’s recommendations offer a little something for everyone, whether you’re shopping for apparel or adding affordable, seasonal produce to your shopping list.

See which top buy, and runner-up purchases, you should shop for at Aldi in April.

Runner-Up: Crane Men’s or Women’s Packable Rain Jacket

As the old saying goes, April showers bring May flowers. If you live in a region which has lots of rainy days in April or anticipate upcoming rain in your forecast, get a head start shopping now for Crane men’s or women’s packable rain jacket to keep yourself dry.

Priced at $12.99 each, these jackets come in a wide selection of men’s and women’s sizes and colors. Each features a chin guard, zip front pocket, a partly adjustable hood and hem and an integrated zipped carry bag. Savvy Aldi shoppers will also note this jacket is an upcoming Aldi Find for the week of March 27 through April 2. If you’re making an Aldi shopping run during that time, snag this rain jacket while you can.

Runner-Up: ALDI-Exclusive Belletti Prosecco

The spring months are full of celebrations, like graduation and Mother’s Day. If you’re planning to give a toast over mimosas, it’s a good idea to shop Aldi-Exclusive Belletti Prosecco Sparkling Wine this month.

Not only does this prosecco come with an inexpensive price tag of $9.99 per bottle, but it has bragging rights for being award-winning. In February 2024, Product of the Year USA announced Belletti Prosecco had received the 2024 Product of the Year Award in their wine category.

Winner: SEASON’S CHOICE Steamable Frozen Broccoli Florets

Tons of produce, including artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, mushrooms and lettuce, are in season throughout April. We knew the winning item was going to be seasonal produce, but should Aldi shoppers get this produce in fresh or frozen options?

To figure out the best answer to this question, we decided to consult a frequent Aldi shopper.

Kristi Stolarski is the associate vice president at Falls & Co., who likes to say she shopped at Aldi before it was cool. Stolarski recommends shopping for frozen vegetables and fruits, which she said are significantly cheaper than their fresh counterparts.

Broccoli crowns at Aldi average at $1.75 per package. However, a 12-ounce bag of Season’s Choice steamable frozen broccoli florets is $1.25 per bag.

Whatever broccoli Aldi shoppers don’t use up in this bag, they can save in the freezer for later use. Plus, at this price picking up extra bags won’t break your bank account which makes it a winning must-buy.
