Not everything at Sam’s Club is worth spending money on. While many reviews left on the Sam’s Club website tend to be on the positive side, others vent frustrations about various purchases that didn’t meet expectations. Some purchases, like groceries, turn out to be so bad that shoppers throw out the remains and lose more money than they save.
GOBankingRates did a deep dive across various Sam’s Club departments to find items with the most customer complaints. Have you ever shopped for any of these items at Sam’s Club?
Lincoln Reversible Sectional with Pullout Bed
- Price: $899.00
Despite holding a 4.1 rating on the Sam’s Club website, 69 shoppers gave one-star reviews to the Lincoln sectional with a pullout bed. The top complaints included how uncomfortable and hard the sectional’s cushioning is, and overall poor construction.
Hamilton Reversible Storage Sectional
- Price: $599.00 (reg. $899.00)
The second piece of furniture on this roundup is the Hamilton reversible storage sectional with a pullout bed. Currently, the sectional holds a 3.9 rating on the Sam’s Club website with 58 one-star reviews.
Reviewer complaints included the sectional arriving late to their residence and the pullout bed collapsing, along with struggling to communicate with both Sam’s Club and the warranty provider, Abbyson.
Member’s Mark Livingston TV Console
- Price: $499.00
What’s the recurring complaint for the Member’s Mark Livingston TV console? It has visible holes. A reviewer named Nikki complained there was a hole in the side of the console, while several other reviewers expressed their frustration with the nail holes across the top.
While Member’s Mark said in a response that the holes being described are part of the console’s distressed finish, the product still has 61 one-star reviews on the Sam’s Club website.
Keurig K-Mini Plus Coffee Maker
- Price: $69.94
Negative reviews keep mounting for the Keurig K-Mini coffee maker. The K-Mini had 279 one-star reviews when we first shared this article in May 2024. Nearly a year later, this number has jumped to 429.
One recurring complaint was that the Keurig didn’t work well and broke easily.
“I’ve bought two of these and the first one quit after three or four months,” wrote reviewer FreakyGranny. “I thought maybe I just got a lemon, but then when I purchased the next one, it lasted about the same amount of time. Will never buy again!”
Member’s Mark Rotisserie Baby Back Ribs
- Price: $12.98
Many Sam’s Club-prepared foods are big hits with customers. The Member’s Mark rotisserie baby back ribs, however (with 632 one-star reviews), is less than a crowd-pleaser. Commonly cited complaints included the meat being too dry, overcooked and tough to eat.
Member’s Mark Rising Crust Three Meat Pizza
- Price: $12.98
More than 190 shoppers have left one-star reviews on the Member’s Mark rising crust three meat pizza. Though it may seem like a good value (three pizzas for $12.98), reviews spoke poorly of the taste, texture and quality.
“This was a first and last purchase,” wrote Amy in a one-star review.. “The pizza was so horrible, I couldn’t choke it down. It came in a three-pack and I threw the other two straight from the freezer to the trash. Don’t waste your money.”
Member’s Mark Organic Acai Bowl
- Price: $11.48
Multiple Sam’s Club shoppers said in one-star reviews that they had to throw out the remaining bowls after tasting the Member’s Mark acai bowls. Most agreed they did not taste fresh, with one reviewer adding the texture was “foamy.”
