This has already proven to be a popular SUV with its previous model years. According to C/D, the 2026 version continues in that tradition. In fact, C/D named this among the best family SUVs. This one offers modern styling and a comfortable ride.
With the price starting around $57,000, the 2026 Kia EV9 is a solid ride with a competitive price in the midsize battery-electric SUV market.
2025 Hyundai Palisade
Edmunds ranked this among the top midsize three-row SUVs for 2025. “The 2025 Hyundai Palisade is one of our top picks and stands out with its roomy and upscale interior, smooth ride quality and appealing collection of features for the price. It’s one of our top picks for a midsize three-row SUV,” according to Edmunds.
The price range for this one is about $37,000 to $54,000. You’ll find a comfortable ride with an interior that feels luxurious.
2025 Mazda CX-90
For about the same price as the Hyundai Palisade, you can own a 2025 Mazda CX-90. The Mazda CX-90 starts around $38,000. However, this ranks a little bit lower on the list of midsize three-row SUVs from Edmunds. While this one offers luxury, sharp handling and quick acceleration, you may wish for more third-row space and cargo capacity.
2025 Honda Pilot
Here’s another family SUV that offers safety and room at a reasonable price. In fact, in its review, Kelley Blue Book (KBB) stated there was no hesitation in recommending the Pilot. Like other Hondas, it’s a solid performer all around. “Safe, refined, roomy, reliable and capable, the Honda Pilot three-row SUV makes ideal transport for larger families,” according to KBB. “This generation debuted for 2023, so everything about it is still fresh, including the technology.”

2025 Hyundai Santa Fe
You may be looking for something between a compact and midsize SUV for your family. The Hyundai Santa Fe, named among the top recommendations for family cars by KBB, may be a good fit. This one is stylish and comes with solid warranties. Though it offers less space than some other family SUVs, there’s plenty of space for a smaller family. You should be able to find one starting at $35,000.
