Reviews on Walmart’s website and shoppers on Reddit don’t seem to think so. Here are five items you should avoid buying on your next Walmart shopping trip.
Great Value Bacon
- Price: $3.64 to $14.94
All of the different types of Great Value Bacon have hundreds of reviews with poor ratings.
“The great value bacon frustrates me,” wrote one shopper on Reddit. “The individual slices don’t peel properly and end up getting stuck to each other. The also tear as they cook and don’t keep the shape of a bacon slice.”
However, they did point out that it still tastes good.
Great Value Cheese Crunch

Great Value Cheese Crunch, which is Walmart’s version of Cheetos, isn’t highly recommended by Walmart shoppers.
One shopper on Reddit claimed that these are the worst “Cheetos” to exist and the item received a rating of 3.6 stars out of five on Walmart’s website. While some enjoyed the taste, many wrote that they’re too greasy and salty for their liking.
Equate Beauty Daily Facial Cleanser

Equate is often just as good as name brand items, but shoppers warn to stay away from the Beauty Daily Facial Cleanser for normal to oily skin. The item received nearly 90 reviews with a rating of 3.7 out of five stars.
The biggest complaint was that it’s not the same formula customers have grown to love, noting that the consistency is slimy and doesn’t foam up like before.
Great Value Blueberry Fruit Syrup

This specific blueberry fruit syrup from Great Value was mentioned on TikTok several years ago. Why? Because the packaging mentions that it may contain traces of anchovies.
This is likely because it’s packaged in the same factory that handles anchovies, but customers still aren’t pleased with this product.
Great Value Original Beef Jerky

The Great Value Original Beef Jerky has received mixed reviews. Some shoppers on Reddit and Walmart’s website remarked that it’s decent for the price, but others have stated that it’s too tough and can be chewy. It has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 stars on Walmart.com.
