Walmart has grown from a single store in Arkansas to becoming a worldwide household name. The retail giant sells a wide selection of merchandise through its brick-and-mortar stores and Walmart.com, which was founded in January 2000. There are now over 11,000 stores in 28 countries that serve over 260 million customers every week. Walmart promises its shoppers “Every Day Low Prices” along with friendly service.
Many Walmart stores contain a Walmart Pharmacy, which allows customers to refill, transfer and manage their prescriptions on Walmart.com for easy in-store pickup. Walmart sells many generic medications for just $4 for a 30-day supply, or $10 for a 90-day supply, which can help patients save big on medications — even if they don’t have insurance. Other pharmacy services include flu shots and immunizations, diabetes management, specialty pharmacy and meds for pets.
Walmart Credit Card
The Walmart store credit card is a rewards card that can have big benefits for frequent shoppers. The card’s best perk is its 3-2-1 Save rewards program, which offers customers up to 3 percent cash back on purchases. Card members receive 1 percent cash back on purchases made in-store at Walmart, 2 percent cash back on gas purchases made at Walmart and Murphy USA gas stations, and 3 percent cash back on Walmart.com purchases. The card also comes with free monthly access to your FICO score, which can benefit anyone who is monitoring their financial health. In addition to providing you with your FICO store, card members can also see what two factors are impacting their score the most. Overall, the credit card can benefit someone who shops at Walmart and Walmart.com frequently, but it’s important to note that the APR is high at 24.15 percent, so it might not be a good option for those who have trouble paying their bills in full and on time.
In addition to photo printing, customers can create customized photo cards and gifts with Walmart Photo. Walmart shoppers can upload personal photos to Walmart.com to create one-of-a-kind cards, wall decor, mugs, blankets, pillows, photo books, magnets and more. Walmart Photo offers same-day and one-hour pickup for photo prints starting at $0.19. Customers can also create a free Photo Center account that includes unlimited photo storage. Photo Center members get free shipping of all cards and gifts to their local Walmart store as well.
Walmart.com has over a million products available for sale online. The site also offers services such as Music Downloads and 1-Hour Photos, which allow customers to order products online and pick them up at their local Walmart store. Additionally, customers can enjoy free two-day shipping on millions of items without paying a membership fee, free same-day pickup and free grocery pickup. Like the brick-and-mortar stores, Walmart.com promises “Every Day Low Prices.”
Walmart Supercenters give shoppers access to groceries and general merchandise all in one place. In addition to having a full range of grocery items, from baked goods to fresh produce, Supercenters are also home specialty shops, including vision centers, restaurants, portrait studios, hair salons and banks. There are now more than 2,300 Supercenters nationwide, and most are open 24 hours.
