If you want to actually beat the market this year, then Telegram’s TON Wallet is worth looking into. The edge is speed, positioning and ruthless execution discipline. According to the TON Foundation’s DeFi review, the ecosystem has evolved into a full-on-chain trading environment that lives directly inside your chats.

Over the next 12 to 24 months, messenger-based DeFi should surface early opportunities inside Telegram before big exchanges. According to crypto expert Michele M. Tivey, TON Wallet lets everyday users act like agile traders instead of passive, bank-dependent holders.

Think of Coinbase as the airport lounge and TON Wallet as the motorcycle on an open road; the question is whether you can actually handle the ride.

Fund and Position for Speed

The first move is brutally simple but often skipped: Fund your TON Wallet with both USDT and TON so you can actually react in real time. Telegram’s integrated wallet supports Toncoin, USDT and instant transfers, meaning your “dry powder” is already sitting where narratives now originate and spread.

Tivey said this is the core advantage of messenger native DeFi, because you move from hearing about an opportunity to deploying capital in just a few taps. According to CoinMarketCap’s coverage, U.S. users can even off-ramp directly from TON Wallet to bank cards, tightening that loop between gains and usable cash.

Tivey recommends thinking of USDT as your flexible ammo and TON as your conviction bet, then sizing each according to your broader portfolio mix. She added that if your wallet is underfunded when a low float token or mini app airdrop appears, your “edge” is purely theoretical, not financial.

Stake Smart, Not All In

Once your wallet is funded, Tivey suggests staking part of your TON to earn yield between narrative-driven opportunities. TON’s DeFi report shows staking and liquidity tools now operate directly inside Telegram, so “set and earn” happens in the same place as your chats.

She emphasizes staking enough to matter without overcommitting, because you still need liquid TON available for rapid rotations. According to OKX’s overview of the Telegram wallet integration, users can access staking and trading tools in the app, making it easy to toggle between passive and active plays.

Tivey advises treating staked TON as your base layer and liquid TON as your fast-moving “strike team.” If a position rallies hard, she recommends rebalancing profits into staked TON or stablecoins to preserve future firepower.

Plug Into High Signal Mini Apps

Tivey highlights TON’s biggest edge: Mini apps, group bots and chats where new economies emerge first. TON DeFi report details stablecoin acquisition, swaps, lending, and earning through Telegram-based bots and mini apps. Airdrops, NFT mints and low-float tokens will build traction in Telegram before hitting mainstream exchanges.

Join select high-signal TON groups, bots and launch mini apps instead of chasing every noisy channel. Tivey advises tracking projects that migrate from TON mini apps to centralized exchange listings. According to a MEXC update on the Telegram wallet rollout, TON Wallet now supports Toncoin, USDT, NFTs, swaps, and staking directly in chat, confirming the breadth of opportunities available.

Master Swaps, Off Ramps and Safety

Tivey insists you test TON Wallet’s swap and off-ramp tools early, not during chaotic market conditions. TON’s website shows instant in-chat token swaps, removing external exchanges and extra accounts that slow reactions in fast markets. CoinMarketCap reports U.S. users can withdraw to bank cards, turning crypto gains into usable cash quickly.

On the safety side, self-custody and the importance of securely storing recovery credentials are emphasized because losing them can permanently cut you off from funds, per Telegram’s wallet FAQ. Tivey recommends enabling Telegram two-factor authentication and parking long-term holdings in a separate cold storage wallet. She also advises treating TON Wallet like a hot trading desk and logging swaps, yields and exits.

Run a 12- to 24-Month Playbook

Over the next year or two, Tivey expects a structural shift where Telegram becomes the launchpad for many retail crypto narratives, especially TON-based assets. CNBC reports that Telegram’s self-custodial wallet now reaches tens of millions of U.S. users, signaling how big this messenger-first surface could become.

Tivey suggests a flexible framework rather than a rigid script: core BTC, ETH and stablecoins, a meaningful TON allocation, plus smaller ecosystem and “venture ticket” bets. The goal is to combine Coinbase-style long-term positions with TON Wallet’s fast-moving, messenger native opportunities, without letting speculative plays dominate your financial life.
