It has been a rocky few years for the American real estate market, with dwindling home production, low housing inventory and skyrocketing mortgage rates depressing home sales. That said, Realtor.com sees light at the end of the tunnel in 2025.
The website recently presented a national housing forecast for the United States. It found that the market is likely to improve with lowering mortgage rates, increased housing production and higher housing inventories. Moreover, it found a deep regional concentration of this development occurring in the West and South, with a great deal of 2025’s top housing markets popping up in the Sun Belt.
That said, the Midwest and the East Coast are also likely to see some strong housing market developments. Find out whether your favorite East Coast city made the list.
