NYC’s New Mask Fine Adds to America’s COVID-19 Confusion

However, not every place is actively enforcing these fines — despite the fact that to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that people wear face coverings in public and when around people outside their household, especially in circumstances where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
