You can land a cute, quaint Airbnb rental for less than $100 per night, even in notoriously pricey California. But if you’re looking to really live it up in the Golden State, and you can spend up to five figures per day for the privilege, you can live like royalty for a night, a weekend or — if you can afford it — even longer.
Airbnb reserves its most exclusive properties for its “Luxe” listings, where well-heeled renters can book some of the most magnificent estates, villas and mansions in California and the world.
The following is a look at the most palatial Airbnb rentals in the state. For consistency’s sake, the nightly rates listed are for two adults during the weekend spanning Friday, Sept. 23 to Monday, Sept. 26.
