The NFL is America’s most popular sport, dominating TV ratings and coverage. It rules at the betting window as well. Offshore sportsbooks took in nearly $100 billion in total money wagered in 2019, according to LegalSportsBetting.com.
The teams that are drawing the most bets are an interesting mix of popular teams such as the Dallas Cowboys (known as America’s Team), division leaders like the Seattle Seahawks and the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
This list of the top seven teams is missing a few marquee teams as well, such as the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. That’s probably because of the schedules they have played so far, facing tough teams on the road.
One more interesting note is that fans are betting a lot on the seven teams on the list, but as you’ll see, they’re not necessarily succeeding. The teams listed are a combined 20-19 against the spread, according to ESPN. Of course, you should always be careful with gambling and never bet money you can’t afford to lose.

Tom Brady is the focus, but it’s the Bucs’ defense that is ranked No. 1 in the NFL in total yards per game.

This might be the biggest surprise — that the Bills are getting such heavy betting action. Then again, the other two teams from New York are seemingly in a race for the No. 1 overall draft pick next year.
The Packers are the runaway favorite of the betting public, and they’ve delivered against the spread so far this season.
