Car prices aren’t just creeping up in 2025 — some brands are even higher than expected. According to recent CarEdge data, there has been a 30% increase in the average new car price (now at $48,749) than from just five years ago, which has surpassed the rate of inflation.

Here’s a closer look at a few of the luxury cars from automakers that are leading the way in this year’s steepest price hikes.

Cadillac Escalade

• 2020 Price Range: $76,490 to $99,590
• 2025 Price Range: $93,295 to $169,995

The Cadillac Escalade luxury SUV, which seats eight, is $70,000 more on the higher-end than it was five years ago. It features leather interior, heated and ventilated wide front seats, a large center console with an optional refrigerated bin and a V-8 engine paired with the all-wheel-drive version that can tow up to 8,300 pounds.

Infiniti QX50

• 2020 Price Range: $38,275 to $56,875
• 2025 Price Range: $44,350 to $52,550

The Infiniti QX50 has a higher starting price compared to its 2020 counterpart, but a lower maximum price. It features a unique engine that sets it apart from other SUVs, the VC-Turbo, which is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that uses variable compression, according to Car and Driver. Some of its available luxury interior features include wood interior trim, a faux-suede headliner, quilted leather seats and a motion-activated power liftgate.

Land Rover Discovery

• 2020 Price Range: $53,650 to $75,550
• 2025 Price Range: $62,050 to $81,650

The Land Rover Discovery, which seats seven, is an exceptional pairing of an off-roading vehicle with a luxury SUV, per Car and Driver. Its optional air suspension feature and adjustable-power heated leather seats, which offer an optional massage function for the driver and front-seat passenger, can take its passengers anywhere off the beaten path in comfort.

Acura MDX

• 2020 Price Range: $45,525 to $63,745
• 2025 Price Range: $52,550 to $76,600

Acura’s MDX may not be as stylish as other rival crossovers and SUVs, but it’s likely the most impressive with its optional high-tech hybrid powertrain model and the ability to tow up to 5000 pounds. For 2025, it features automatic climate control, leather upholstery and dual-zone heated front seats with 16 power adjustments and a massage option.

Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class

• 2020 Price Range: $43,495 to $52,895
• 2025 Price Range: $54,400 to $54,550

The Mercedes GLC-Class luxury crossover has a standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower that’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (though all-wheel drive is an available option, according to Car and Driver). Standard interior features include a power rear liftgate, ambient lighting, a power-operated sunroof and heated front seats with memory settings and adjustable lumbar support. Extra interior options include leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, illuminated doorsill plates and a panoramic sunroof.
