Older vehicles often hold their value over time — sometimes better than newer models. After all, cars start to depreciate the moment they’re driven off the lot.

Porsche 718 Cayman
- Average rate of depreciation after five years: 21.8%
- Average value lost after five years: $15,851
Toyota Tacoma
- Average rate of depreciation after five years: 26%
- Average value lost after five years: $8,217
Chevrolet Corvette
- Average rate of depreciation after five years: 27.2%
- Average value lost after five years: $18,557
Honda Civic
- Average rate of depreciation after five years: 28%
- Average value lost after five years: $6,987
