A brand-new car has a lot of perks — no wear and tear, stylish modern designs, and advanced-tech interiors — but it also comes with one significant downside: a high price tag. A used car can provide an affordable alternative, but is frequently defined by older designs and less tech. There are, however, a number of used cars on the market that are reliable, affordable, and — in a word — cool.
GOBankingRates recently culled the coolest rides from Car and Driver’s Best Used Cars Under $30K list and found a handful of vehicles that balance the affordability of a previously driven car with the sleek looks of a new one.

1. Ford Mustang GT
The Mustang is as classic and cool as it gets. Used recent iterations of the American muscle car are easily found for less than $30,000, with a variety of engine configurations (four-, six- and eight-cylinders).
2. Subaru BRZ
Looking for a hotshot rear-drive sports car that looks far more expensive than its used asking price? Give the Subaru BRZ a spin. The Subaru’s powerful engine, a stylish coupe interior, and souped-up ergonomics add even more value to used price points that run under $30,000.
3. Toyota GR86
Like the Subaru BRZ, the Toyota GR86 is dynamic and sporty, and per Car and Driver, far outpaces the similarly-styled Mazda MX-5.
4. BMW i4 eDrive (Single-Motor)
As Car and Driver has noted, while the used dual-motor, all-wheel-drive models of the BMW i4 aren’t exactly cheap, the used single-motor variants tend to go for less than $30,000. That’s a bargain for BMW styling, an electric powertrain and hatchback storage space.
5. Genesis G70
If a sporty sedan is what you’re looking for, the Genesis G70 may be the used, affordable ride for you. Not only does it have a slick, stylish exterior, but it’s also available with a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine.
