Currently, BJ’s Wholesale Club has 52 new grocery items available to shop from new in-house offerings from its Wellsley Farms brand to name brands in bulk for less.
Because shoppers can’t buy every new item for sale (welcome to the budget life!), GOBankingRates pulled six of our favorite new arrivals after careful review. Do you agree that these six BJ’s grocery items are worth the money?
Quaker Simply Granola Oats, Honey, Raisins and Almonds
- Price: $11.99
There are several reasons why new Quaker Simply Granola Oats made it into this roundup. The low price of $11.99 for two packs is a crowd-pleaser along with the $2.25 coupon that members can clip and use on their purchase. (This coupon is valid now through Sept. 2.)
The granola also comes highly reviewed by BJ’s shoppers. Positive reviews highlight the taste of the granola when snacking or enjoying it during breakfast and the affordable price point.
Wellsley Farms Organic Whole Milk Gallon
- Price: $7.49
How much more would you save shopping the new Wellsley Farms organic whole milk at BJ’s versus big-box retailers?
At least a few dollars, according to our price-matching calculations. A gallon of Horizon organic whole milk costs $8.99 at Target while a similar offering from Organic Valley costs $9.32 at Walmart.
Wellsley Farms Organic Mixed Vegetables
- Price: $9.99
Shopping for new frozen vegetables, like Wellsley Farms’ organic mixed vegetables, is always a win at BJ’s since every bag is generously portioned and has a healthy frozen life. Organic peas, corn, carrots and cut green beans make up the mixed vegetable medley inside every bag.
Satisfied customer reviews highlight the ease in cooking and taste of the vegetables as well as their versatility. One reviewer, Mike, wrote that they add these mixed vegetables to soups, stir frys and pastas because they’re so universal.
Good Foods Caramelized Onion & Gruyere Cheese Dip
- Price: $9.99
Think it’s too indulgent to spend $10 on a 24-ounce container of the new Good Foods caramelized onion and gruyere dip at BJ’s? Think again. Glowing five-star reviews praise this delicious dip and how it quickly runs out when there’s a crowd.
“This dip was delicious and addicting – hard to stop eating and enjoyed it with kettle potato chips,” Sonny412 wrote. “Makes a nice presentation to serve at parties with veggies or fancy crackers or crostini!”
Mott’s Soft Baked Bars
- Price: $9.99
The 24-count boxes of Mott’s soft baked bars are already receiving five-star reviews from BJ’s members. One reviewer, Rubie, wrote that the new soft bars are delicious for kids and adults alike to enjoy. They even pair well with coffee.
The cost breakdown per bar comes out to spending about 42 cents, significantly less than what you’d pay visiting a snack machine or going on a gas station run for similar snacks.
Starburst, Hubba Bubba, Life Savers Mini Gummy & Chewy Candy Variety Pack
- Price: $29.99
Savvy BJ’s shoppers will likely notice there are several Halloween candy variety packs among the new grocery arrivals. Before you buy any for upcoming Halloween prep, how do you know which has the best value?
After conducting some price comparisons, GOBankingRates went with the candy variety pack containing a mix of Starburst, Hubba Bubba and Life Savers. At $29.99 per bag, this variety pack is much more expensive than other bags priced at $14.99. However, it contains the most pieces of candy at 390 altogether. When we crunch the numbers, this means BJ’s members pay about 8 cents for each piece of candy.
