The major appeal of fast food is that it’s fast and at a cheap price — but, thanks to inflation and cost of living factors, the days of super-cheap fast food may be coming to an official end.
Take fast food giant McDonald’s, for example. Despite launching a new McValue menu in January 2025, only a few menu items are available at discounted prices and the popular Big Mac isn’t on the short list. It turns out the average price of a Big Mac varies widely from state to state, with the signature McDonald’s burger selling for $3.91 on the low end up to $5.31 depending on where you’re dining.
Here’s a look at how much a Big Mac costs in every state.
