If you are the person who shops for groceries in your home, then you’re likely aware you can’t get all your favorite products from one store. In fact, you might have to shop around to complete your entire grocery list, as well as get some of the best prices available.
Shoppers who hit up Aldi and Costco know that both stores offer great products at reasonable prices, though they do not necessarily go toe-to-toe in value. While Costco tends to beat Aldi in most cases related to price, there are a few exceptions to that rule.

- Price at Costco: $11.99 for 2 count of 1 gallon bottles
At Aldi, you can get Nature’s Nectar 100% Apple Juice in a 64 oz. fluid bottle, equaling half a gallon, for just $2.39. If you wanted two gallons of it, you’d still only pay $9.56 compared to Costco’s deal for the same amount of Tree Top 100% Apple Juice for almost $12.00.
Potato Chip Packs
- Price at Aldi: $7.25 for an 18 count of 1 oz. bags
- Price at Costco: $22.99 for a 50 count of 1 oz. bags
You might want some variety in your lunch box or for your snacks on the go, which is why Aldi is not just the financially sensible choice, but the smart one for switching up the flavors of your favorite chips. You can get three boxes of Clancy’s Potato Chip Variety Packs for a total of $21.75 at Aldi, nearly $1.25 in savings compared to Costco’s Lay’s Potato Chips in barbeque flavor for nearly $23 a box. Plus, buying that quantity from Aldi gives you four extra bags of chips.
Mayonnaise
- Price at Aldi: $3.55 for 30 fluid oz. jar
- Price at Costco: $11.99 for 64 fluid oz. jar
The perfect condiment for your sandwich, burger and more is mayo. However, to get the best value, you have to shop for a Burman’s Real Mayonnaise at Aldi, where you can pick up three jars for only $10.56, getting you 26 oz. more of mayo than Costco’s Best Foods, Real Mayonnaise jar at nearly $12 for only half a gallon. If you want your wallet and your tastebuds to thank you, the choice is clearly Aldi.
