You can save money while looking and feeling your best. An anonymous Bath & Body Works associate shared some ways you can save money on your next purchase at the specialty retailer.
Next, check out other tips to stretch your holiday budget.
Buy 3 of the Same Item
The first tip applies to most Bath & Body Works items. It turns out the company gives you a special deal if you are willing to buy three of the same product instead of stopping at one or two.
“If you buy three items, you will get one item for free,” the associate explained.
Making bulk purchases allows you to capitalize on these types of deals across more product categories. It’s better to buy multiple products in one visit, instead of buying one item here and there.
Travel Size Is Cheaper
You don’t have to buy a regular-sized perfume if you are on a tight budget. In fact, the associate offered a straightforward recommendation if you are looking to cut down on costs while getting good products: “Travel size promos are cheaper.”
A smaller size isn’t just cost-effective. It also means you won’t have to use up as much perfume before the expiration date. If you get regular-size perfumes, you could be racing against the clock and end up going through less than half of a regular-sized bottle.
Capitalize on Free Shipping
Free shipping can make a big difference. The shipping cost can be the difference between one extra product and being empty-handed. The Bath & Body Works associate highlighted two ways that you can get free shipping.
“For the free shipping, you have to spend at least $100 online,” they said. “You can also pick it up at a designated store to not pay for shipping. Then, you can buy another item, since you saved on the shipping fee.”
Bath & Body Works has more than 1,850 company-operated locations in the U.S. and Canada. The company also has franchised locations worldwide, offering plenty of options for a designated store. You can throw in a visit to Bath & Body Works during your commute or holiday shopping spree.
Check for Promotions
Bath & Body Works regularly runs promotions on its site that let you save money on various products. The associate mentioned that people should regularly check the promotions to see if their favorite items are available at discounts.
“We have everyday promotions on our website,” they said.
You can check which promotions are going on right now and focus your shopping around those items. If your favorite item isn’t included in a promotion now, you may want to wait a bit. Chances are that it will eventually be discounted — if not in time for Christmas.
Join the Loyalty Program
Many companies have programs that reward loyal customers with discounts on various products. Bath & Body Works is no exception to the rule.
“You can download the app and sign up for the Loyalty Program,” the associate said. “Then, you will receive a welcome offer and have a discount at checkout.”
New members get special perks, and you’ll still have plenty of savings to enjoy years after you sign up. Members earn 10 points for every $1 spent, and the program is free to join. You can redeem points online or at your local Bath & Body Works store.
