Passalacqua in Lake Como, Italy
- Starting rate: $1,300
This boutique hotel is a converted 18th-century villa that feels like a private home. The lakefront property is situated on seven acres that feature terraced gardens, olive groves and a picturesque pool terrace. The hotel also offers complimentary daily activities, like flower-arranging courses and gelato-making classes.

Rosewood Hong Kong in Hong Kong

Cheval Blanc in Paris, France

Raffles Singapore in Singapore

The iconic building that houses Raffles dates all the way back to 1899, though it was extensively renovated in 2019. The hotel features lush gardens, a rooftop swimming pool, a spa, a wide variety of restaurants and bars and on-site shopping.
Aman Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan

Located on the top six floors of a 38-floor skyscraper, the Aman Tokyo first opened in 2014. In addition to its iconic city views, the hotel offers a tranquil spa, private fitness classes, a 30-meter swimming pool and a number of gourmet dining experiences.

Soneva Fushi in Maldives

The Soneva Fushi features 63 private villas where being barefoot 24/7 is encouraged the preferred way to get around is via bicycles. Amenities include a spa, a pool complex, tennis courts, a library and a gym. Much of the food served at the resort is grown on-site for a true farm-to-table experience.
Atlantis the Royal in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Nihi Sumba on Sumba Island, Indonesia

This one-of-a-kind resort features 27 villas — all with private infinity pools — located on 567 acres of largely untouched jungle. There are plenty of outdoor activities to do on-site, including surfing, fishing, snorkeling, horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.
