Amazon’s Black Friday deals promise big discounts across nearly every category, but it can be tough to tell which sales actually deliver the biggest savings. To get a clearer picture, I asked ChatGPT what the best Amazon Black Friday deals might look like this year.

Here’s what it said.

Amazon Devices and Smart Home Gear

The deepest discounts on Black Friday are likely to be on Amazon’s own brands of tech and smart gear, such as Kindle, Fire TV, Echo and Ring devices. ChatGPT noted that in 2024, shoppers saved up to 62% on Ring video doorbells and up to 50% on Fire TV 4K streaming devices. Expect similarly steep markdowns this year as Amazon pushes its proprietary tech ahead of the holidays.

Home and Kitchen Appliances

Another major category worth watching, ChatGPT said, is home and kitchen appliances — especially countertop staples like air fryers, coffee makers and cookware, as well as larger items such as robot vacuums and large appliances.

Some early previews also suggest potential savings of up to 66% on furniture and around 44% on popular kitchen appliances. Still, ChatGPT cautioned shoppers to be skeptical of deals that sound too good to be true.

Electronics and Computers

You can also expect “solid markdowns” in electronics and computing gear, including large-screen TVs, laptops, monitors and gaming accessories, the AI said. Early forecasts point to possible 30% to 40% discounts in these categories — not record lows, but strong enough to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

Fashion and Beauty Deals

While Amazon isn’t always known for its most generous markdowns in fashion and beauty, ChatGPT said early signals from its “Prime Big Deal Days” event suggest discounts of up to 40% in these areas, particularly on popular clothing basics, skin care and hair tools.

Extended Sale Windows

One of the biggest shifts in recent years is that Black Friday is no longer a one-day event. Amazon’s “Black Friday Week,” running approximately from Nov. 20 to Dec. 1, 2025, will extend the savings window across nearly two weeks.

How To Make the Most of It

ChatGPT offered a few simple strategies for getting the best deals:

  • Track the items you want now. Use price-tracking tools like CamelCamelCamel or Keepa to ensure the sale price is a genuine drop.
  • Be ready at kickoff. Popular items and steep discounts sell out fast, so keep your Amazon wish list and notifications ready.
  • Prioritize early categories. Smart home gear and small appliances often see their lowest prices at the start of the sale.
  • Look for bundled value. Amazon may offer extra perks like free months of Music, Audible or Prime Video to sweeten the deal.

What To Watch Out For

ChatGPT also warned that some sellers inflate prices in October so discounts appear deeper later. A recent alert pointed out that Amazon’s six-week pricing-history rule may actually encourage this tactic.

And remember: A discount isn’t always a deal. Always verify the price history and buy only what you need, not just what’s on sale.

With a little preparation and skepticism, this year’s Black Friday could be the best time to grab those Amazon deals you’ve had your eye on.
