Not everything at Target is low-priced, but sometimes it’s worth the splurge.
According to recent Giftful app data shared by founder Cono Onorato, several Target products have been downloaded or saved nearly 20,000 times in the last two weeks, with weighted kids’ plush throw pillows, vanilla cashmere body care and mini gift sets topping the list.
When Target shoppers see value, they don’t typically hesitate to spend a bit more. According to shopping experts, several other Target purchases fall into this category.
Kids Clothes
“Target sells a wide variety of styles of kids’ clothes, and they’re very inexpensive compared to department stores for similar quality,” Melanie Musson, retail finance expert at Quote.com, wrote in an email.
And the best time to purchase clothing at Target is toward the end of the season, according to Bobby Ghoshal, CEO at Dupe.com, a platform that uses AI to find lower-priced replicas of consumer products.
“For example, bathing suits go on sale once the weather cools. And jackets will be discounted once things warm up,” Ghoshal explained. “The good news is that Target is always discounting quality children’s apparel at the time we actually need them to.”
This is usually Cat & Jack items on sale for whatever the occasion your children may need, he added. “This weekend, I spotted leggings for under $5 and a 30% off promotion on children’s holiday pajamas that rivaled Carters,” Goshal claimed.
Cleaning Supplies
Up&Up is Target’s well-known brand that offers competitive prices on a number of quality cleaning supplies and other household essentials.
“They may not rival discount stores, but if you’re a member of the Target Circle program, you can often receive gift cards when you meet a minimum purchase, which often sweetens the deal and makes the purchase worthwhile,” according to Ghoshal.
Paper Products
Like Target’s cleaning supplies, the store’s paper products are considered high-quality and often discounted.
“Again, with the Target Circle program, we often see promotions offering $5 to $10 gift cards with two paper product purchases, Goshal explained. “The pricing of name-brand toilet paper and paper towels is comparable to what you would see at their competitors, but their Up&Up brand is even more affordable, making Target a safe bet when stocking up on the necessities.”
