Is the Stock Market Open Presidents Day 2020?
The U.S. stock and bond markets (including NASDAQ and the NYSE) will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, for Presidents Day. Foreign financial markets and currency exchanges will remain open on Presidents Day for trading. The U.S. markets will open again for regular trading hours on Tuesday morning.
The next holiday the markets will be closed for is Good Friday, which falls on Friday, April 10, 2020.

Expect the U.S. stock markets to close for nine holidays per year, with the bond market closing for eleven holidays per year. Holiday closures follow a specific schedule if they fall on a weekend. The rule of thumb for holidays that fall on a weekend are:
- When a holiday falls on Saturday, the market closes the Friday before.
- When a holiday falls on Sunday, the market closes the following Monday.
