To gather this list, Monster looked through its data cache to see which jobs have been the most frequently posted on the site so far this year. It looks like a promising time to be looking for jobs in the tech and healthcare fields.
Although the country is headed toward the lowest unemployment rate in years, there are still jobs out there if you’re looking.
With an aging population, the job outlook for registered nurses is growing much faster than average with almost 500,000 new nurses expected to be needed by 2026. Registered nurses can expect $33.65 per hour or $70,000 per year.
It’s no surprise that the demand for creative and mathematical minds behind the computer programs and apps that provide knowledge and information to the world is growing much faster than expected. The median pay is $103,560 per year or $49.79 per hour.
Supervisors of Retail Sales Workers
Retail supervisors can expect a variety of job functions, such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting and personnel work, in addition to supervisory duties. Annual wages vary among industries — the highest being $76,350 per year or $36.71 per hour for computer systems design supervisors.

Customer Service Representatives
The job outlook for workers on the receiving end of customer orders and inquiries — and typically bearing the brunt of customer complaints — is growing according to the average rate. The role requires nothing more than a high school diploma, and the median pay is $32,890 per year or $15.81 per hour.
Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers
Driving long-haul distances, and usually solo, isn’t for everyone. Workers who do this transport goods coast to coast, and for their lives spent on the open roads, the median compensation is $42,480 per year or $20.42 per hour. The job outlook is growing according to the average rate, and close to 110,000 additional heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers are expected to be needed by 2026.

Troubleshooting for computer users and organizations, user support specialists have a job outlook that is growing faster than average. The median pay is $52,810 per year or $25.39 per hour.
