Here are four vehicles owners are unlikely to keep beyond ten years with problems you will want to avoid if you’re looking for a used car.

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque
The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is a popular luxury vehicle known for its elegance and ability to go off-road. Its starting price is $49,000, which is also high. However, when it comes to reliability, there have been problems with electrical issues, transmission issues, turbocharger failures, engine oil leaks and suspension problems. These quickly add up and can end up costing you a lot of money in repairs.
“Most would agree that the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is very luxurious and great for off-road adventures, but its reliability record isn’t really strong,” says Giranda. “There are common issues including engine troubles, transmission problems, and electronic failures. These not only make the car less dependable but also expensive to maintain over time.”
Jeep Renegade
When you think of a Jeep Renegade, you likely think of adventure, style and fun. However, unlike other Jeep models, such as the Wrangler, this SUV does not offer as many off-road capabilities. In fact, there are quite a few issues associated with the Renegade, including fuel delivery, oil pump cracks, cooling fan failure and problems with the driveline components. Jeep has some of the most expensive parts, making it costly to repair.
Nissan Pathfinder
The Nissan Pathfinder is a popular family SUV with its spacey features, ability to seat up to seven people, and off-roading capabilities. However, it has a long history of reliability concerns, which means that it ends up costing owners a lot of money and has a poor resale value. Common problems with the Nissan Pathfinder include build quality, engine performance and CVT transmission.
