Some drivers value the need for speed. Others seek ultra-comfortable interiors and stylish trims. Technology enthusiasts appreciate gadgets, massive infotainment screens, and drive-control safety features. But one must-have that every driver can agree on is reliability: they want their cars to spend more time on the road and less time in the repair shop.

GoBanking Rates sifted through data from Car and Driver, CarEdge, Carzwerk, Kelley Blue Book and elsewhere to bring you three reliable luxury car brands worth the money.

Lexus

Lexus seamlessly blends beautiful styling with expert craftsmanship across its lineup of opulent vehicles. The brand serves as Japanese automaker, Toyota’s luxury division showcasing elevated prestige and distinction.

Renowned for its full-size luxury models, we have the distinguished 2024 LS sedan priced (starting at $96,000).

Lexus is also recognized for its SUVs — the 2024 Lexus RX (base price: $50,000) and its more affordable subcompact UX (base price: $38,994).

The sporty IS sedan (base price: $41,235) and the RC luxury coupe starting at $44,770. Lexus’s top-of-the-line LC has a sticker price starting at $99,800. The convertible costs $105,950.

The average repair and maintenance cost for Lexus is $7,786 for 10 years of ownership. This is $4,258 less and 17.89% better than the industry average for other luxury car brands, according to data from Car Edge.

Mercedes-Benz

The German automaker is world-famous for making high-end and high-cost luxury vehicles, including sedans, coupes, SUVs, convertibles and wagons. The Mercedes-Benz S-class sedan is the flagship of the brand (base price: $118,450). 

The 2025 EQS (base price: $106,000) boasts a plush cabin loaded with high-tech features. You can also purchase the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE for (base price: $76,050). At the low end of the price spectrum is the 2024 CLA-Class subcompact sedan (base price: $44,350). 

At the top of the line in SUV models, there is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class (base price: $150,000) and the 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class EV starting at $168,000. Looking for an SUV below $50,000? The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class sticker price starts at $43,000.

Mercedes-Benz averages around $16,000 for repair and maintenance during the first 10 years of ownership, which is around $4,000 higher than other luxury brands. 

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is known for lower maintenance frequency and costs but will require major repairs in 10 years, reports CarEdge. The cost for repairs runs around $10,734 for the first 10 years of ownership, which surpasses the average of other luxury sedans by $1,227.

Audi

With its modern design, Quattro all-wheel-drive system and minimalist styling, the German automaker Audi, a division of Volkswagen Group, is a head-turner, although traditionalists criticize the design as being cold and stark. But even so, one cannot deny that Audi is a dynamic luxury brand. Pricing starts at $37,000 for the 2025 Audi A3 compact sedan. 

Audi offers two electric models, the 2025 A6 e-tron starting at $80,000 and the 2024 Audi e-tron GT, with a design inspired by the Porsche Taycan that churns out 522 horsepower, 

Audi models average $13,222 for repair and maintenance costs for the first 10 years. This is $1,178 more than other luxury brands and there is a 30.46% likelihood that an Audi will need a major repair. However, this is 4.63% better than other luxury car brands. 

The A4 is the gem in the crown. It requires little upkeep, estimated at $9,000 over 10 years of ownership, which beats many luxury sedans by $2,907.
