Back-to-school season is here, and that means many school supplies are going on sale, including technology devices that help students stay productive and organized.
Here are five Apple products worth grabbing while they’re on sale.
MacBook Air (M2 chip)
Apple’s MacBook Air with the M2 chip is perfect if you want a laptop that’s lightweight and lasts all day on a single charge. It’s one of the best all-around student laptops, especially for those juggling classes, papers, and creative projects. Right now, you can find the 13-inch M2 model on sale for under $800 at places like Amazon or Best Buy.
iPad (9th or 10th Gen)
If you want something more lightweight than a laptop but still provides many of the similar functions, consider getting a 9th or 10th-gen iPad. Both of these support Apple Pencil so you can easily handwrite notes or annotate PDFs. The prices vary depending on the screen size and the storage capacity, but they’re usually less than $300.
AirPods Pro 2
AirPods might not help you pass calculus, but the noise cancellation feature could definitely help you focus better in the library. The AirPods Pro 2 usually drops to around $169 during back-to-school sales at Best Buy, which is $80 cheaper than their original price. Plus, these AirPods have a battery life of six hours and also come with a one-year limited warranty for both parts and labor.
Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen)
The Apple Watch SE isn’t necessarily a must-have for school, but it’s great for checking reminders on the go or tracking steps between classes. You can also reply to texts or take calls straight from your wrist. If you get it now at Best Buy, you’ll also have access to four months of Apple Fitness+ for free.
During back-to-school sales, the Apple Watch SE (40 mm screen size) drops to $169 and the one with the larger screen size (44 mm) is still pretty affordable at $199.
Apple Pencil (2nd Gen)
If you already have an iPad Air or iPad Pro, you’ll want to consider adding the Apple Pencil (2nd gen), especially if you’re an art major or like to handwrite your notes. It magnetically attaches to your iPad and charges wirelessly when it’s attached. These Apple pencils are typically priced around $129, but you can find them on Amazon or Walmart for around $99.
