Store-brand groceries are a lot less expensive than name brands and they’re often just as good. And now shoppers have a new line of generic products to choose from. Per Business Wire, Amazon recently introduced its Amazon Grocery private label featuring over 1,000 fresh and shelf-stable groceries, some of which are rebranded Fresh Brand and Happy Belly foods. Fresh foods are available for pickup or delivery at Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods stores. Amazon Prime members can have pantry items delivered.
While Amazon Grocery isn’t always cheaper than competing store brands, GOBankingRates found four products you can get for less than you’ll pay at Aldi or Walmart.

Raw Wildflower Honey
- Amazon Grocery price: $9.98
At $9.98, a 32-ounce bottle ($4.99 per pound) of Amazon Grocery raw wildflower honey is significantly cheaper than Aldi’s Berryhill and Walmart’s Great Value brands, which cost $7.15 and $5.97, respectively.

Beef Broth
- Amazon Grocery price: $1.19
All three stores sell 32-ounce boxes of beef broth, but at just $1.19, Amazon Grocery has the best deal. You’ll pay $1.55 for Aldi’s Chef’s Cupboard brand and $1.50 for Great Value at Walmart.

Sliced Turkey Breast
- Amazon Grocery price: $3.08
Amazon sells its honey-smoked sliced turkey breast in 9-ounce tubs for $3.08, which comes out to $5.48 per pound. Aldi’s mesquite-smoked equivalent is $3.75 or $6.72 per pound. Walmart’s 16-ounce container is $6.46.

Tomato, Basil and Garlic Pasta Sauce
- Amazon Grocery price: $1.66
Jarred pasta sauce is a bargain at all three stores, but Amazon Grocery has an especially good deal on its 24-ounce jars, which are just $1.66. Aldi’s Reggano version is $1.85 and Great Value sauce is $1.74 at Walmart.
