If you regularly eat fast food and you don’t order online or through an app, you may be spending much more money than necessary. Many of the biggest fast food restaurants offer deals that are only available on the digital platforms.
But even if you use the apps or websites, some items and meals may no longer seem worth the cost. Here’s a look at some of those items and alternatives to consider on your next trip.
Big Mac Meal
If you’ve been eating the Big Mac for years, it was probably not too long ago that you thought it’d be outrageous to pay $15 for the meal, which comes with the burger, fries and a drink. But that’s the reality for McDonald’s customers in some markets across the United States — though it does vary based on your location.
If you’re craving a Big Mac, try a cheaper option such as a double or triple burger with the Big Mac sauce and a small fry. You can also go to McDonald’s when they offer BOGO or other offers on the Big Mac.
McCrispy Strips
If the idea of paying $6 for a few chicken strips from McDonald’s sounds out of the budget, there may be some other options. McNuggets or the McChicken are both cheaper options (depending on how many you get) if you’re craving a chicken choice from McDonald’s. You could also check if your nearby location offers the $5 McChicken Meal Deal.
Wendy’s Grilled Chicken Wrap Meal
If you’ve been looking at fast food prices recently, you may have simply avoided Wendy’s due to some of what you saw. For instance, it may be tough to justify spending more than $12 for a grilled chicken wrap, some fries and a drink. If so, but you still want to enjoy Wendy’s, try downloading the app and going to the section with Meal Deals or Offers, which can come with combo prices of $8, $7 or even $5.
Burger King Original Chicken Sandwich
As with other fast food restaurants, it can pay off big time to order through the app or online from Burger King. You may especially appreciate those offers when it comes to items like the Original Chicken Sandwich. Without a deal, this sandwich can cost $7 just by itself. However, Burger King often gives BOGO or other discounts on this and other sandwiches.
