Feeding a family of four at a drive-thru for under $25 can be challenging, but it’s not impossible. Even in this era of high prices, McDonald’s still has some menu options that offer good value.
When it’s time to grab lunch or dinner fast, here are some McDonald’s meal combos that can feed four without breaking the bank.
Meal Option 1: Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken Meal
- Price: $5.79
At $5.79 each, it would cost $23.16 to buy four Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken meals, which include a sandwich, medium drink and large fry. The sandwich comes with mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, a Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken Patty and a regular bun.
Keep in mind there will be sales tax tacked on to that total, and how much depends on where you live.
Meal Option 2: Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken Meal Deal
- Price: $5.10
If you don’t need the drinks that the Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken meal offers, this meal deal is cheaper. It includes the Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken sandwich, four-piece Chicken McNuggets and small French fries. Total price before tax is $20.40 for four orders.
Meal Option 3: McChicken Meal Deal

The McChicken meal deal is just like the Hot ‘n Spicy McChicken meal deal but has a regular McChicken patty instead of a spicy one. It doesn’t include a drink but offers a four-piece Chicken McNuggets and a small fry — all for $5 each or $20 for four.
Meal Option 4: McDouble Meal Deal
- Price: $5.00
Another way to feed a family of four for around $20 is to order the McDouble meal deal for each person. The cheeseburger has mustard, ketchup, diced onions, pickles, American cheese, 1/10 pound of beef and a regular bun. The meal also comes with a four-piece Chicken McNuggets and a small fry.
Meal Option 5: 2 Cheeseburger Meal (Large)
- Price: $7.39
A family of four could order three large “2 Cheeseburger” meals for $22.17. The family would receive six cheeseburgers and three large orders of fries that they could split. For example, each person could have one-and-a-half cheeseburgers and a quarter of the total fries. Or two adults could have two cheeseburgers and an order of fries each, and the two children could have one cheeseburger each and split the remaining order of fries in half.
