The next time you need to grab a quick lunch, consider making a run to Sprouts Farmers Market. The supermarket chain has a wide selection of budget-friendly, ready-to-eat lunchtime options to shop along with more inexpensive premade meals.
GOBankingRates compared the prices of Sprouts premade meals to other similar offerings sold elsewhere to find out which meals give you the most bang for your buck. Are you already a fan of these affordable premade meals?
Vicolo Italian Sausage Pizzetta (2-Pack)
- Price:Â $8.99
Sprouts shoppers who want to swap ordering pizza for delivery in favor of a cheaper pizza night in will want to shop the two-pack of Vicolo Italian sausage pizzetta. Other Vicolo pizza flavors sold at Sprouts for $8.99 include uncured pepperoni and bacon and quattro formaggi.Â
GOBankingRates checked to see where else Vicolo pizza is sold and found the same pizza brand for sale at Whole Foods. However, their Vicolo pizza is regularly priced at $9.99 — for just one.
Sprouts Fettuccine Alfredo With NAE Chicken
- Price: $15.59
A generous helping of fettuccine alfredo with chicken up to 1.2 lbs. comes inside every premade meal sold at Sprouts.
What if you were shopping for similar ready-made chicken fettuccine alfredo at Whole Foods? Shoppers would need to buy two 12-ounce containers to reach the Sprouts amount. Each container costs $9.99 which would set shoppers back $20, or about $4.41 more than they’d pay if they shopped at Sprouts.
Chicken Caesar Wrap
- Price: $5.99
It’s no contest as to which supermarket has the best value on chicken Caesar wraps.Â
At Sprouts, these wraps are priced at $5.99 each with 10-ounces of chicken, Caesar dressing and lettuce inside every wrap. Similar chicken Caesar wraps for sale at Whole Foods cost $9.99 each and weigh in at 9.4-ounces.
Turkey on Multigrain Bread Grab & Go
- Price: $4.99
Sprouts turkey on multigrain bread is an ideal sandwich to grab on the go, especially if you want to snag lunch for under $5.
Compared to Whole Foods’ turkey and gouda sandwich for $6.99, shoppers are getting mostly the same item minus the gouda cheese and with slightly more sandwich. (Nine ounces worth at Sprouts versus 8.5-ounces at Whole Foods.)
Tuna Salad on Multigrain Grab & Go Sandwich
- Price:Â $4.99
Is it cheaper to get a simple tuna salad sandwich at Sprouts or at Whole Foods? Like the turkey sandwiches sold at Sprouts, the Sprouts tuna sandwiches are inexpensively priced at under $5 each and weigh in at nine ounces. Tuna sandwiches for sale at Whole Foods cost about $6.99 each.
Sprouts Turkey on Wheat Kids Meal
- Price:Â $5.49
The sack lunches for kids at Sprouts have gone viral on TikTok thanks to their $5.49 price tag and full baggie loaded with lunchtime favorites. Each bag contains a sandwich (with options including turkey or ham), a bag of chips, a pouch of applesauce, a cookie and a small bottle of water.
Part of the kids meal’s viral appeal is that kids and adults alike can enjoy all the food inside. Gen Z banking platform Step posted a TikTok of the Sprouts kids lunch to determine if this was enough food for adults. Ultimately, the TikTok concluded that the meal was a great deal for adults that want a light lunch as well as kids.
